Network Taps

FTP 1000 Series 1 & 10 Gbps Fibre TapFTP 1000

1 and 10 Gigabit fibre taps provide your network monitoring and security tools passive permanent access into your 1 or 10 Gigabit fibre network.

They provide permanent In-Line access to network links – eliminating the need for network connectors to be disconnected and connected each time a segment needs to be analysed. They also support multiple topologies, including 10 Gigabit Ethernet, ATM, OC3-OC48, and SONET.

The SINGLEstream SS-1204BT-BT-S Link Aggregation Tap is inserted inline (ports 1 and 2) and will collect traffic from a network link and allow you to combine it into a single output. With 2 monitoring ports (3 and 4), you can have 2 copies of that aggregate data, or when link utilization is high, keep the full duplex streams separate.

RMC-3 Rack Mount Chassis for Fibre TapsRMC-3 Rack Mount Chassis for Fibre

The RMC-3 units are designed to save rack space by allowing up to 3 Taps into a professional, neat, and orderly chassis. RMC units are often deployed in locations where monitoring solutions require access to copies of network traffic.

Rack mounts are also beneficial to a Data Capture Infrastructure as they allow additional Taps and Network Packet Brokers to be installed as needs change. Rack mounts come in four varieties, depending on the type of device being installed, and the number of devices.
